Autotronics & Sparekeys LLC

Terms of Service

Effective July 18, 2026

This page is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. If you have specific legal questions, please consult an attorney licensed in your state.

1. Acceptance of terms

By requesting service from Autotronics & Sparekeys LLC ("we," "us," or "our") — whether through our website, by phone, or by text — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't submit a service request.

2. Description of services

We provide mobile automotive locksmith services, including:

  • Key cutting — blade, laser-cut, and transponder keys.
  • Key fob and remote programming.
  • Immobilizer and module programming.
  • Ignition and lock repair.

A technician travels to your location to perform the requested service on-site.

3. Service requests & dispatch

When you submit a service ticket, we provide an initial estimate based on the vehicle and issue information you give us. This estimate is not a fixed quote — final pricing may change once our technician inspects your vehicle on-site and confirms the exact parts and work required.

We make reasonable efforts to dispatch a technician promptly, but arrival times are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather, technician availability, and other factors outside our control.

4. Pricing & payment

Payment is due at the time service is completed, using a payment method accepted by your technician. Any change to the scope of work — for example, a lock or module in worse condition than expected — will be communicated to you before we proceed, along with any change in price.

5. Cancellations & rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a service request at any time before a technician arrives by calling or texting us. If a technician has already been dispatched, a trip fee may apply to cover travel time and costs.

6. Your responsibilities

When you request service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle information, including year, make, model, and VIN if requested.
  • Provide a valid, accessible location for the technician to meet you.
  • Be present, or have an authorized adult present, when the technician arrives.

7. Vehicle ownership & authorization

To help prevent our services from being used to gain unauthorized access to a vehicle, we require that you confirm you are the vehicle's owner, or that you have the owner's permission to request key, lock, or immobilizer service on it. Our technicians may ask for proof of ownership or authorization — such as a vehicle registration, title, or insurance card matching the name on the service ticket — before beginning work, and may decline service if this cannot be reasonably established.

8. Warranty

We stand behind our work. Keys, fobs, and programming completed by our technicians are covered against defects in workmanship for 90 days from the date of service. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, water exposure, or third-party repairs made after our visit. Parts carry the warranty provided by their manufacturer, where applicable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autotronics & Sparekeys LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services, including loss of use of your vehicle. We are not responsible for pre-existing mechanical, electrical, or software issues in your vehicle that are unrelated to the service performed. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

10. Independent technicians

Autotronics & Sparekeys is a licensed and insured locksmith service (DCJS # 11 30 561). Technicians dispatched through Autotronics & Sparekeys work under that license and are insured. You will receive their name and photo before they arrive.

11. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to that venue.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
